{{DIY CAKE STANDS}}
Oooh have I got a fun little craft for you today! So much fun if you love to entertain. I have a total cake stand obsession. Someday, when I move out of my little condo, I plan on having them all on display in my kitchen just like Martha Stewart has on her set.
If you’d love a little cake stand collection of your own, this craft is just up your alley.

{{MATERIALS}}
-CANDLESTICK HOLDER, CUP, VASE or DISH (for the base)
-PLATE
-MODGE PODGE
-SUPER GLUE
-GLITTER!
——————————————————————————————————
I picked up my plates & bases (a dish & a candlestick holder) at the dollar tree! You can also find awesome & unique materials at thrift stores or yard sales. Make sure your workspace for this craft is covered in newspaper. You don’t want to ruin your stuff. Or maybe you do. I don’t know your life.

Cover your base (candlestick holder or whatever you’re using) in modge podge & then sprinkle with glitter! Let it dry & do it again. Let that dry & cover with another coat of modge podge.

Draw a cute design on your plates with a metallic sharpie & bake that sucker at 350 for 20 minutes. Make sure toΒ put them in the oven before pre-heating to avoid cracking.

After your plates are all cooled & modge podge is all dried (probably the next day)
super glue your glittery bases to your plates. Let that dry overnight.

Put some treats on them & invite some friends over for tea! How fancy!

Wipe with a damp cloth to clean. These aren’t built to survive a run in the dishwasher.
& put these babies on display!!
Thanks for crafting with me!
xoxo

omg I LOVE this. So cute!
What a clever, crafty idea! This would be a super project for me to do with my daughters – they could make their OWN special plates π
