I am a sucker for fall! I love the fresh crisp air, the hot apple cider, the mandatory scarves & boots, the red noses & earlobes 🙂 Unfortunately, us So Cal inhabitants don’t really experience fall the way the northern half of the country does. Around here it is still summer! It’s a little cooler than SUMMER summer, though. So I call it “summer lite”:) Anyway, just because it doesn’t feel like real fall, doesn’t mean I’m not going to pretend it does. Pumpkin candles are sweetening up my home & I haven’t gone a day without a hot cup of pumpkin flavored joe. This weekend I even drove out to a farm in the middle of the desert, complete with hay rides, gourdes & a petting zoo! I just had to keep on the lookout for rattle snakes. It was way too hot for the boots I chose to wear & I stripped off my cute, fall sweater the minute I stepped out of the AC’d car. Once I let go of the traditional “pumpkin patch” notion I had dancing in my head like sugar plums from when I was a kid, I had an absolute blast watching my kiddo frolic around petting goats & climbing on hay bales.
